Brunch chez Jak's

J'adore me balader dans mon quartier et encore plus quand il fait beau (c'est a dire pas si souvent que ça a Londres...). Dimanche il faisait froid mais un super ciel bleu j'ai donc sorti l'appareil photo et je suis allée me promener dans High Street et South Kensington. Vers 2pm il s'est fait faim et c'est tout logiquement que nous sous sommes dirigés vers le Jak's bar sur Walton street. C'est plus un endroit sympa pour luncher que pour bruncher (pas vraiment d'oeufs Benedict ou de bagel à la carte) mais si vous avez faim c'est définitivement le bon endroit!

Il existe deux Jak's bar sur Walton street. Le premier est plus restaurant et le second est un bar plus cosy. En général le restaurant est assez blindé donc ce qu'on préfère faire c'est commander au restaurant et se faire servir au bar (trois numéros plus loin dans la même rue).

Le principe du Jak's est simple : tous les plats sont proposés au comptoir. Tu choisi un plat et deux accompagnements, ils te font réchauffer le tout et t'apporte ton assiette à table dans les 5 minutes. La nourriture est plutôt italienne (ils ont toujours de super lasagnes ou cannellonis et le steak de thon est excellent). Comptez environ £25 pour un plat, un smoothie et un café.

I love walking in my neighborhood and even more when the sun is shining (not that often in London I know...). On Sunday the weather was nice, cold but great blue sky so I took my camera and I went for a walk on High Street and South Kensington. Around 2pm I was hungry and it is logical that we headed in the bar Jak's on Walton Street. This is a nice place for lunch (not really for brunch as they don't have eggs Benedict or bagel on the menu), but if you are hungry this is definitely the right place to go!
There are two Jak's bar on Walton Street. The first is a restaurant and the second is bar, really cool and cosy. In general, the restaurant is quite full so we prefer to order at the restaurant and get served at the bar (three doors down the road).
The principle of Jak's is simple: all dishes are available at the counter. You choose a dish and two sides, then they make it warm and serve your plate at your table in 5 minutes. The food is italian (they always have great lasagna or cannelloni and the tuna steak is excellent). £25 for a main course, a smoothie and a coffee.
